Harmony Farms is a family farm located about 5 miles south of Odessa,MO. Our main product is GRASS FED/GRASS FINISHED BEEF which we produce ourselves and in partnership with local growers. We also sell PASTURED POULTRY and PASTURED PORK. Our animals spend their lives on fresh pasture with new paddocks each day which simulates natural conditions as closely as possible. This is important because these practices make for much healthier meat. Our meat is much higher in Omega 3′s and CLA’s which help fight heart disease and cancer. We also never feed antibiotics or give growth hormones. Our specialty is selling quarters and halves of beef and pork bundles directly to individuals throughout the entire year. We grow food God’s way — peacefully,naturally and nutritiously. Our cattle are allowed to forage on pasture,their native diet,rather than being forced to ingest starchy grain and chemical additives in a commercial feedlot. Our poultry is range-fed,rather than being fattened in a cage on a factory farm. Likewise,our dairy goats are fed green grass or stored dry hay,rather than additive-heavy commercial feeds.
The advantages are numerous. There is less stress on the animal and there is less pollution. Most important,the food has greater nutritional value and is not tainted by the use of hormones,antibiotics and other additives. Simply put,it is food grown God’s way — naturally.
Harmony Farms’ food is grown close to home by people who are dedicated to grass-fed,free-range farming. To be sure,it is not easier to farm this way. It requires know-how and plenty of space and healthy soil,both readily available in Kansas and Missouri.
