Feast Magazines Awards Features Many Friends of the Food Circle

The Kansas City Food Circle is proud to partner with several of the winningest folks on the food scene in KC! Feast Magazine released their 2015 Feast 50 Awards in the current issue and many of the names on the list are restaurants (and a chef!) that participate in our Eat Local and Organic Dining Card. One of our KCFC Member Farmers even made the list for best cheese maker.
That's because the best chefs and restaurateurs in the business know that sourcing locally will get the most delicious results. Food that comes from close to home and chefs and restaurateurs that build relationships with local farmers - that makes for a winning combination.
We are proud to supply these fine establishments and are grateful to all our amazing restaurants who have committed to working with the local, organic, and free-range farmers in our organization. Together these folks bring the best of our region straight to your plates. And to them all we say Thank You!

KCFC Members Only Farm Tour - Where the Redfearn Grows- Sept 13

Where the Redfearn Grows is a small local family farm that focuses on growing for their CSA members. We use sustainable, natural practices to grow fresh vegetables.

Kansas City Food Circle Members will meet at the farm near Indepedence at 3pm. We will take a tour of this great farm and wrap up with a mini happy hour. Pick up your free member tickets today! Bring your a friend or your family and join us on September 13th!

Goat Cheese Class with Borgman’s Dairy- Sept 24

Borgman’s Dairy is on a not-so-secret mission to create dairy products that connect you and your family to our local agriculture in a special, delicious way.

During this class we will share the recipes, planning techniques, and resources to make fresh goat cheese. You also get the chance to taste some of the other luscious things we make!

As a "Thanks!" for attending this unique class, the Kansas City Food Circle is giving every ticket holder a jar of Borgman's amazing Cheesecake in a Jar (Yes! Cheesecake! in a Jar!) You an also buy some of Borgman's famous Cajeta, a goat milk caramel. It's just a little addictive, so be prepared! We can't wait to see you!
