Borgman’s Dairy Farm
Borgman’s dairy history is linked to Missouri’s heritage. The current owner’s grandmother, living on a farm in Jackson County Missouri, started Borgman’s Dairy in 1935. Originally, Borgman’s was a family owned (cow) dairy, where the milk was sold from a milk stand in Kansas City, Missouri. However, with the passage of time, comes change. In the 1970’s as cities grew, the original farm was taken through a process of eminent domain and the family was forced to move. They settled in Johnson Country, Missouri—where the dairy is located today. The current owner, Janet, is a life-long Missouri resident, a woman farmer, a veteran of the Armed Forces, and a PhD graduate of the University of Missouri. They say that if you support a local farmer you support the local economy. But it's more than that at Borgman’s. It's about the continuation of a family heritage, providing quality dairy products to Missouri's population and having a choice in the food you buy and serve your family.
