We are the urban experiment… the seed that died and went into the ground. Urban Pioneers… many who have purposefully uprooted from comfortable suburbia and relocated their homes and base of operations into one of the most blighted and dangerous zip codes in the U.S. 64127, Lykins Neighborhood, Kansas City. We have put down our stake for the youth, the poor, and the next generation. We are here to mine the gold of human potential. We are cultivating the life of the inner-city. The Police helicopter is our favorite bird. Neighborhood meetings are our drama. Falling crime stats are our touchdown cheer. Hope is sprouting right out of the cracks in the asphalt. Just to see people walking their dogs around the block again is a sign of good things to come. Stay tuned for the great adventures to come as we document our journey from the inner-city out to some of the most difficult places on earth. See it all unfold as we give this mission everything we’ve got, no plan b.

When - Tuesdays between 2pm - 5pm
Our CSA runs for 20 weeks, from June through October. Members are responsible for picking up your share of fresh produce from our farm . With each weekly allotment, you will generally be receiving two bags of produce per week.

A. You will receive between 6 to 10 items per week. The produce in a typical share is likely to include (but not limited to!):

Springtime- lettuce, salad mix, spinach, kale, chard, dandelion greens, Chinese cabbage, garlic greens, peas, radishes, beets, broccoli, cauliflower
Summer- heirloom tomatoes, cukes, eggplants, green peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, potatoes, okra, carrots, beans, watermelon, onions and herbs such as basil, parsley, dill and cilantro (along with the salad mix and other summer-hardy greens).
Fall- add to the mix cabbage, red peppers, leeks, sweet potatoes, winter squash, while the various bunched greens begin to slow down.

B. We take the safety of your food seriously. We supply your produce after it is well inspected and washed to ensure its quality. For your added protection, wash all produce before eating.

C. Pick up location: At our farm! Located at 1121 Myrtle Ave, Kansas City, MO 64127

D. Pick up day: Tuesdays between the hours of 2pm and 5pm.

E. Shares will be arranged in large cardboard boxes on the day of pick up.

F. We ask that you take note of the thru traffic and park in a manner that allows for a smooth entrance and exit of property. There may be any number of people visiting or stopping by on any given day, but there is sufficient parking alongside the street by our farm.
