Mine Creek Farm is a sustainable farm, just getting started. This will be our first year as a CSA, so please come and help us get established. At MCF, we are committed to using organic, no-till methods. Mine Creek Farm is of the Joel Salatin/Polyface Farm model. We have 16 acres of a mix of prairie and wooded areas with an all season creek. We grow some of the best vegetables around, and our melons and blackberries are nearly famous!
Our eggs come from our truly pastured chickens who get moved to fresh pasture when they need it.
We hope to add agritourism of pumpkin patch, tours, and straw maze in the near future. MCF is south about 50 miles from I-435/Hwy 69. Come and start your day with a real farm visit and continue on in the area with historical sites, museums, public hunting land, and beautiful country. We will be starting a venture in aquaponics in the summer, with non-GMO feed for the fish.
CSA - we are considering the Blue Valley Farmers Market at 135th and Hwy 69.
Pastured Poultry - we will arrange delivery as we are in the city two to three times a week.
We plan to deliver to the southern Overland Park area, twice a week. Potentially at the Blue Valley Farmers Market or in the general 135th/Hwy 69 area. On farm pick up can be arranged.
June 2 - Sept 1 - 14 weeks
$400 for the 14 weeks - 10-20 lbs of variety foods
$200 down payment, the rest of the $200 by May 15

We plan to provide a dozen eggs per shareholder per month. Other dozens will be available to purchase at a 10% discount. Shareholders also receive a 10% discount on our pastured chicken as they are available after reservations.
Mine Creek Farm is a new enterprise, husband and wife team. We desire to deliver the freshest veggies and fruits. We are seeking to use a no-till method of planting. We offer "reserve a bird" option, where you prepay 1/2 the purchase of 7 birds at $7 a bird, remainder paid at pick-up.
