Blue Door Farm is a certified organic vegetable farm in Kansas City, KS.

We grow a wide variety of vegetables and take pride in sharing high quality, tasty vegetables with our CSA members and market customers.
Our Community Supported Agriculture program provides members with a convenient way to eat the “cream of the crop”. If you like the idea of eating fresh, local food, but can’t always make it to the farmers’ market, we can deliver farm-fresh produce to your home or office.
** We still have CSA openings for deliveries to groups of 5 or more at office buildings. If you and your coworkers would like an weekly deliveries of great produce, please contact us soon. **

How it works:
Every week, a bag of fresh produce from our farm is delivered to you. We select the vegetables based on what looks best on the farm, so members receive the best of seasonally available produce. Members can sign up for either a regular share or a full share.

Regular shares receive 4 to 6 different types of produce per week. This share level is ideal for couples, small families who may not eat at home every day, or singles who like veggies. Each item is provided in sufficient quantity for at least 2 to 4 servings. Cost per week is $20.

Full shares receive 5 to 7 different types of produce per week. This share level is ideal for couples or families who are vegetarian or who cook with vegetables regularly. Each item is provided in sufficient quantity for at least 4 to 6 servings. Cost per week is $30.

The types of vegetables CSA members receive is distinctly different at different times of the year. If you aren’t sure what is “seasonal” when in our area, just ask. We grow 50+ varieties of vegetables. We are happy to share recipes, cooking and storage tips. We eat this stuff too!

The Details:

Home delivery takes place on Tuesdays, between 2 and 6 pm. We can drop off shares in coolers left at a prearranged location (front or back porch, garage, etc.) so they stay fresh until you get home.
Members sign up for one 10-week session at a time. Members pay for an entire session in advance, which helps the farm cover early season costs. There are three, 10-week CSA sessions over the course of the season:
Session 1 (Spring/Early Summer): April 30th – July 2nd ; payment due by March 1st (deadline extended).
Session 2 (Summer): July 16th – September 17th ; payment due by June 1st.
Session 3 (Fall): September 24th – November 26th ; payment due by September 1st.

Our delivery route includes most of Johnson County, KS. Other delivery locations may be possible – just email or call and ask.
